Includes a thought/game about adding a peice of straw to the manger for each good deed done by the children for Baby Jesus one straw at a time. Each time someone secretly does something nice for another family member, he or she places a peice of straw in the manger. Soon the childrens quarreling and negative feelings subside and the homemade crib is overflowing. But for one family member, a required act of kindness becomes more than he can take. The Last Straw is a true story.

The Gift Of Love - By O' Henry (2012)


Synopsis
Played against the tapestry of early 1900’s New York City, this touching tale of selflessness brings O.Henry’s Christmas valentine lovingly to the screen. O. Henry's classic short story "The Gift of the Magi" is brought to the screen with this television adaptation of the timeless holiday favorite.

A wealthy Orphan (Marie Osmond) is dutifully resigned to an arranged-for marriage to a man of “socially acceptable class” (James Woods), when her heart is captured by a young Swiss immigrant (Timothy Bottoms. Within her heart she wages the struggle to fulfill her relative’s expectations, and yet to find for herself that most precious of all joys, The Gift of Love.
